We have a zero-tolerance approach to slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that we comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to reinforce our commitment to identifying and addressing any risks related to modern slavery within our operations or those of our suppliers.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, workers, contractors, agency staff, suppliers, and any other individuals or organisations working on behalf of Joyous Healthcare (UK) Ltd.

Our Responsibilities

Ensure all employees have the right to work in the UK.

Conduct thorough background checks and ensure recruitment practices are fair, transparent, and legal.

Maintain awareness and training around the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Audit our supply chains where appropriate and ensure that our suppliers uphold the same standards.

Provide mechanisms for reporting concerns, including whistleblowing procedures.

Due Diligence

We take the following steps to identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery:

Vetting and monitoring of suppliers and recruitment agencies.

Maintaining clear lines of accountability.

Carrying out internal audits and compliance checks.

Training and Awareness

All staff receive training on recognising the signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns. This training is part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting ethical practices across the organisation.

Reporting Concerns

We encourage all staff to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery in any parts of our business or supply chains. Reports can be made confidentially to a line manager or via our Whistleblowing Policy.

Review and Monitoring

This policy will be reviewed annually or earlier if there are significant changes in legislation or organisational structure. We will monitor compliance and assess the effectiveness of our approach through regular audits and feedback mechanisms.

Approval

This policy has been approved by the Registered Manager and Senior Leadership of Joyous Healthcare (UK) Ltd.
